Can't install ubuntu from usb because of graphic error
I've tried to try and then install Xubuntu in an somewhat old machine but I can't since when it reaches the language screen where it let's me choose what I want to do, if install or try, the screen turns half black and the other half flashy and buggy whenever I move the mouse. Because of that I cant't choose anything with the cursor nor see where I am when using the TAB key to move around buttons. I get exactly the same problem with Ubuntu and Kubuntu.
By entering to boot options y can reach the desktop, but the screen stays buggy, I have tried the boot options "nomodeset", "noapic" and "nolapic" getting the same results.
¿What can I do?
The pc is currently running windows 7 32 bits slowly CPU: Intel Pentium 4 RAM: 1 GB Graphic card: VGA standard, 30 mb HD: 37.3 GB
