Marko Asmer Website to be Enhanced after BMW Sauber F1 Team Announcement

Tallinn, Estonia (PRWEB) February 13, 2008

Modera (http://www.modera.net ), the content management system (CMS) and software specialists are to make enhancements to racing car driver Marko Asmer's website (http://www.markoasmer.com ) after his signing to the BMW Sauber F1 Team.

The website re-vamp comes after the announcement by the BMW Sauber F1 Team (http://www.bmw-sauber-f1.com and http://www.press.bmw-motorsport.com) that they have taken on Asmer as an official test driver for their Formula One programme. Asmer becomes part of a BMW Sauber F1 Team driver quartet that includes German Nick Heidfeld, Polish Robert Kubica and Austrian Christian Klien.

Marko Asmer comments, "I have been interested in motor racing since I was a young boy and Formula One has been the ultimate dream for me. I am really proud to be joining one of the top three teams by signing as BMW Sauber F1 Team's test driver and I hope to use the opportunity to show what I am capable of for the future. I couldn't have got this far without a lot of support in my career and I want to keep everyone that has supported me up-to-date with how I am doing through my website - as it happens."

Siim Vips, CEO at Modera, the CMS specialists that built and maintain the website comments, "Marko's site launched in October 2007 has thus far assisted him by giving him an online presence however now that his career is in the fast lane, it's important both to Marko personally and the Marko Asmer brand that his performance is well tracked for his fans and that he is able to interact with them personally, which he will be able to do for example with the Marko Blog.

The new upgrades to markoasmer.com will mostly be in the back-end and will allow Marko and his team to continually keep his audience involved and updated on his progress and journey in the Formula One world.

Since the F1 announcement markoasmer.com has experienced a 52 percent rise in traffic and we anticipate this to grow in conjunction with Marko's career. As a result of this we are making improvements to bring interesting content more easily to keep his supporters updated in a (literally) rapidly moving sport."

"The site will have enhancements to bring content quicker as Marko continues to perform well in Formula One trials and races. The back-end adjustments are simple to add with Modera's Webmaster CMS product that uses rich internet application (RIA) technology for intuitive user experience. This will have a huge impact on the front-end with continual updates of fresh content including input from Marko himself. Exciting new updates include facilities for a fan forum, blog and videos which can be managed by Marko and his management team," concludes Vips.

Modera specialise in creating simple to use content managed sites for well-known brands and celebrities including Estonian established singer / songwriter pop star Hannah, racing driver and Formula One test driver Marko Asmer, funk jazz band Jamiroquai and vehicle manufacturer and car dealer network Nissan.

About Marko Asmer

23-year-old Estonian Marko Asmer burst onto international racing radars in 1999 when aged 15 he won the Nordic, Finnish, Baltic and Estonian karting championships in one season. By 2001 he was dominating the Karting World Championship and was nominated the most talented young kart driver in the world.

He moved up to Formula Ford with JLR in 2003, earning five victories and 2nd in the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch. He took part in several test days with the then BMW WilliamsF1 Team.

2004 saw Marko enter the British F3 Championship where he attracted attention with a string of top six finishes and two fastest laps, despite the power limitations of his engine. In 2005 despite engine limitations plaguing him once again, he earned six British F3 podiums and pole positions at Donington and N?rburgring.

Out of money to race in Europe, Marko went to Japan in 2006 to take a paid drive competing in the All Japan F3 series for ThreeBond after winning a seven driver shoot-out test. It was a year of personal and professional challenge but he came through and impressed, winning the last race of the season.

Asmer re-signed for ThreeBond in 2007 and was subsequently offered a drive with Hi-Tech in British F3. He honoured his Japanese commitment although his car in the British series was much more competitive. He spent 2007 commuting between the UK and Japan, and won the championship with three rounds still to go.

Marko's talent was recognised by BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen who offered the Estonian a number of tests in the winter of 2007/8 following which he was offered a permanent test driver role. Marko is currently evaluating offers to race in various world and European series to run parallel to his F1 test programme.
